GAUGE: 22 sts x 32 rows for 4 x 4 inches or 10 x 10 cm in pattern ribbing with larger needles.
One pattern (6 sts) measure 1.25 inches or 3 cm.

YARN: this sweater is knitted with two strands of yarn: a fingering weight and a lace weight held together. Approximately 1200 (1300 - 1320 - 1340) 1410 (1430 - 1460 - 1550) 1580 (1600 - 1700) yards or 1100 (1190 - 1200 - 1220) 1290 (1300 - 1330 - 1410) 1440 (1460 - 1560) m of each yarn.
If you prefer, you can knit this sweater with only one strand of a DK weight yarn.

MATERIALS: Needles sizes 3 mm/US 2.5 (rib) and 4 mm/US 6 (body and sleeves), tapestry needle, cable to hold live stitches, 2 stitches markers, and 7 buttons of 18 to 20 mm.

Recommended ease : 4 to 8 inches or 10 to 20 cm of positive ease.

The pattern is knitted in MSW from Yarn By Simone and mohair soie from La Fée fil. Sample is shown in size 3 with 4 inches or 10 cm of positive ease.

DUNES is knit from top to bottom seamlessly in pattern ribs. We start the yoke from the front then the half backs with a rounded neckline shaped with short rows. The body (back and front) is then worked back and forth. The sleeves are picked up and worked in the round. The buttonband is picked up and then knitted parallel to the body.

LAINE : le pull se tricote avec un mélange de deux fils : un fil de type fingering et un fil de type lace. Environ 1100 (1190 - 1200 - 1220) 1290 (1300 - 1330 - 1410) 1440 (1460 - 1560) m de chaque fil. Mais il est aussi possible de le tricoter avec un seul fil de type DK.

MATERIEL : aiguilles suggérées n° 3 (côtes) et n°4 (corps et manches), une aiguille à laine, câbles pour mettre les mailles en attente, 7 boutons d’environ 15 mm à 20 mm et 1 anneau marqueur.

NOTES : Il est conseillé de le porter avec une aisance positive de 10 à 20 cm.

Il est tricoté de haut en bas sans couture tout en côtes fantaisies. On commence l’empiècement par le devant puis les demi-dos avec une encolure arrondie formée par des rangs raccourcis. Le corps (dos et devant) est ensuite travaillé en aller-retour. Les mailles des manches sont relevées puis travaillées en rond. Les pattes de boutonnage sont relevées puis tricotées parallèlement au corps.
