With its soft, full collar and deep V-neck, this garment will be flattering on any figure type. The set-in sleeves with nicely finished cuffs look tidy.

The simple design is finished with a tailored-looking I-cord edging (including the back neck) which is deceptively quick and simple to work.

If you’ve been saving that “special” button for all these years, this is a perfect opportunity to show it off.

The garment shown is made with single-ply, 100% wool; this jacket would look great in everything from silk to linen to light-weight mohair, making it a versatile choice for those with stashes - I know you’re out there!

One variation might be to use a yarn with mohair, alpaca or angora content just for the neckband insert (as a contrast to the texture of the yarn used for the body of the garment) to give a beautiful, soft effect.

It was a pleasure to knit, with just enough interesting things going on to motivate progress.
