Language: English (US)

Dimension Construction

If using the recommended yarn weight and hook size your dragonfly will be about 5” / 13cm long and wide.

The dragonfly is crocheted in 7 pieces. Once the crocheting is done the eyes and wings are sewn on. The face and small markings on the wings are embroidered. There is the option of attaching wired legs to the amigurumi.

Required materials and tools:

  • Cotton yarn in 4-Ply/Fingering or DK/light worsted weight in blue, black and white or light blue (or 2 to 3 different colors of choice) I used Scheepjes Catona in Vivid Blue, Jet Black and Chrystaline
  • 2.5mm crochet hook / Size B-1 or C-2 depending on how tightly you crochet
  • Stitch markers
  • Yarn needle
  • Large eyed sewing needle
  • Scissors
  • Craft wire (optional for the legs)
  • Glue (optional for the legs)
  • Small flat pliers (optional for the legs)
