It was June, and the world smelled of roses. The sunshine was like powdered gold over the grassy hillside. By Maud Hart Lovelace

This is the third pattern that makes up The Everyday Roses Collection.

Needles
2 x 4mm / US 6 circular needle or size to obtain gauge
5mm / US 8 circular needle for cast on and bind off.

Gauge
20 sts and 42 rows per 10cm / 4inches in garter stitch using 4mm / US 6 after blocking.
While Gauge is not critical for this project, it will affect amount of yarn required.

Notions
A couple of bulb pins or progress keepers and a tapestry needle. I also found a set of scales useful, to get the most out of my yarn.

Pattern notes
Worked flat, this cowl is a great way to use minis and partial skeins and is very adaptable, each garter section is approx 10 grams of wool.
The cowl is joined by picking up stitches from the cast on edge and working a 3 needle bind off. I have provided a video tutorial for these techniques.
