Duru Bag pattern is written with easy repeats to allow each bag to be worked in any size! This pattern produces a thick fabric that’s perfect for a bag, it is sturdy and solid. Base will look clean and sharp because of a box fold and s strategic row of back loops stitches.

The bag in pattern pictures used 4 different color balls of cotton yarn in 2 weight with a 3 mm hook but yarn and hook size can be adjusted to anything you have available. I recommend cotton because of its stitch definition and shine. For this one you won’t even need a soft yarn - using those random balls of old lace thread is perfectly fine too! Double the strands for thickness and match your hook size. Gauge is not important, keeping an even tension is more than enough.

Duru bag is made with a box fold to shape the bottom neatly. These steps contain many pictures to show the process - it’s simple but the result is stunning.

Stitches you’ll need (in US terms):
single crochet - sc
back loop single crochet - BLsc
double crochet - dc
front loop double crochet - FLdc

For the strap you’ll need simple Tunisian stitch (with a normal crochet hook, instructions included).
