The motives of this Shawl reflect its name „Düsseldorf“. The basic pattern of the triangles symbolize the Hofgarten (a parc in the Centre of the town). The lower parts of each triangle is filled with cartwheelers (a traditional local custom). The center piece shows the Rhine tower, which indicates the current time in the night. It is to be read from top to bottom, which means that it is 23:49 and 58 seconds (using a 24 hour scale). This time can be changed individually. The border represents the river Rhine.

The shawl consists of two right-angled triangles with a middle part in between, which is a little narrower at the top and after a few rows remains of the same width. This builds a kind of cutout. Knitting direction is from upper middle to the bottom. The shawl will be finished with an edging knit across its main body.

Das Tuch besteht aus zwei rechtwinkligen Dreiecken, zwischen denen sich ein Mittelteil befindet, der oben etwas schmaler ist und nach einigen Reihen gleich breit bleibt. Dadurch entsteht eine Art Ausschnitt. Es wird von der oberen Mitte nach unten gestrickt. Abgeschlossen wird das Tuch mit einer quer angestrickten Borte.
