When it came time to name this pattern, I settled on Dust Devil—perfect for the spiraling design on the yoke, and the kids that wear it, always in motion, whether on the run or just spinning in circles as kids do.
The spiraling design on the top-down circular yoke is created with slipped stitches, which creates a thinner fabric than traditional stranded knitting because you’re only carrying a single strand of yarn behind your work—perfect for warmer weather and busy kids! The contrast color is carried through the piece with stripes at the cuff and hems, and a notched collar to accommodate big kid noggins finishes it off.
