The term “tulpen” is Dutch for “tulip,” and there’s no shortage of those in Holland or on this hat! In mid-April in The Netherlands, more than 7 million tulips bloom at the Keukenhof in Lisse, also known as the “Garden of Europe.” Known as a symbol of love, each varying color of the tulips carries with it a special meaning.
