Dwarf Battle Gauntlets
Skilled in battle, Dwarves were also masters in manufacturing weaponry and armor. Though difficult to maneuver due to their top heaviness and long handles, axes were commonplace amongst Dwarves while in combat, as were short swords and daggers to accommodate their lack of height. Mostly used in smithing, hammers could also double as a weapon, and occasionally bows, but they were renowned for their durable armor. Made of iron or chain mail (which the Dwarves invented), they could cover their bodies with mithril, an uncommonly precious, lightweight silver metal, and their faces with forged masks. Though small, they are indeed mighty and a force to be reckoned with.
While these weathered gauntlets haven’t seen many battles in their day, they’re inspired by those that have. Worked in stockinette in the round from the bottom up, stitches are periodically bound off then casted on to create slits to give a battle-ready look. These gauntlets are finished with pyramid studs at the knuckles so you, too, can display your tenacity in battle. To arms!
