Dwars is the Dutch word for diagonal stripes. But is also used to describe the typical behaviour of a toddler. So this seemed like a good name for socks for my dear son.
At this time, only the toddler size is available. I hope to be able to update the pattern later with more sizes. A chart is included. However, the pattern is so intuitive that I doubt you will actually need the chart after the first few rows.
These socks are very suitable for beginning sock knitters.

Techniques which are expected to be known:

  • Judy’s magical cast-on
  • Knitting in the round using long circular needles (magical loop)
  • Short rows These techniques are NOT further explained in this free pattern.
