This cowl is a riff on Clue 4 of the Westknits Go Go Dynamo Shawl. You can either knit this up instead of doing Clue 4 and finish off the shawl as a long stole or wear the cowl as a stand-alone! The collar can be worn as is, or folded in half towards the inside, which gives it body.

Note that you are required to purchase the Westknits pattern, as it uses it as a reference. Search “Go Go Dynamo Shawl” for Stephen West’s pattern, or use this link:

This pattern designates a MC and CC but at any point, you can mix up your color choices to your liking, including inserting a Mohair Dare.

If you have knitted up Clues 1 - 3 of your shawl, the remaining yarns should be enough to knit up the collar.
Yarn requirements are:
MC: approx 170 yds / 155m as shown
CC: approx 110yds / 100 m as shown
Yardage used may vary depending on your yarn type and tension.

It is knitted in the round, from the bottom, up. You may select a brioche rib (shown) or substitute with a 1 x 1 rib.
