Dynamite Bomb
10% of the sale price for this bomb goes to MAG - Mines Advisory Group, whose work includes clearing landmines.
This is a simple and fun pattern for knitting a bomb c.11” x 5”, with two sticks of dynamite, detonators, and a timer.
Most of the bomb is knit in the round, but could be adapted for two needles.
The majority is knit in simple stockinette stitch, with moss stitch, I-cord, increases by knitting into the front and back of a stitch and decreases by knitting two stitches together. The hands and numbers on the timer are embroidered afterward.
Gauge is not important and any yarn in your choice of colours could be used with the appropriate sized needles.
The bomb requires some stuffing and a tapestry needle for making up. A dish sponge is also handy for stuffing the timer.
