For child size fit work through round 3 or 4 and skip to round 7 to end. Any worsted weight yarn will work. You can get creative and use different colors for different rounds.

Video Tutorial says to use HDC however pattern says to use DC. I have done them this way to show beginners that you do no need to only use the HDC but you can use the DC and get the same out come. It is up to your preference. If you want a more loose beanie with a more airy open look you would use the DC. If you want a more tighter closed beanie you would use the HDC.
