This cap pattern is for a tiny doll with a 3.5” circumference head. (A bigger cap is needed if the doll wears a wig.) This cap will fit Ball Jointed Dolls (BJDs) such as Realpukis, PukiPukis and Felix Brownies.
This simple pattern would be great for embellishing with colorwork or fancy stitches, provided the gauge is still met. Beads, sequins and/or embroidery would look great, too!
One ball of DMC size 12 pearl cotton will make several hats. Pearl cotton is preferred over crochet thread, as crochet thread tends to make a stiffer item due to its tighter twist.
