Wearing a mask all day to protect from coronavirus transmission can be hard on your ears. Give them a break by converting your elastic mask to a tie-on mask. A pair of these laces attaches to any mask (reusable or disposable) and ties behind the head to save your ears.

Laces are long enough to tie in a bow behind the head. (The crochet texture keeps the bow from coming undone during an 8-hour workday). If you need the laces longer or shorter, change the number of chains used for the lace.

This pattern is good for using up scraps. And, you don’t need any buttons!

The pattern is available as a PDF on https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GgBiymjClHD2N6YymL0dpm7Y.... I apologize, I’m having trouble adding it to the library as this is my first ever pattern.

Help fight COVID by making mask-wearing as easy as possible!
