This listing is for a PATTERN to make your own NimaLab Bonnet with Braids! This cozy, crochet beanie is perfect all year round. Use wool for a warm toasty hat or try a cotton blend yarn for that summer baby. Also makes an adorable gift for moms to twin with their daughters :) This pattern would also complete any newborn photo shoot. This pattern has been tested by multiple crocheters of different levels. Sizing is tried and true for the ages listed. In addition, there are photos throughout to clarify the pattern.
The pattern includes 5 sizes:
(Head circumferences are in parentheses):
Adult (21-22 inches)
Child (19-20 inches)
Toddler (17-18 inches)
Baby (15-16 inches)
Newborn (14-15 inches)
This pattern is appropriate for an advanced beginner crocheter. It utilizes single crochet, half double crochet, single crochet decreases and slip stitches and is worked in the round.
Materials:
Hooks: 5 mm (or hook needed to obtain gauge) AND 8 mm (newborn and baby) and 11.5 mm (toddler, child and adult) hook for braids
Yarn: 75-230 yards of any medium weight (4) worsted such as Lion Brand Wool-Ease (which is 2.3 yards/gram)
Darning needle
Tape measure
Stitch marker
