Circular 4.0mm(80cm,23cm), 3.5mm(80cm,23cm), 2.5mm(80cm)
(Needle size are only suggestions. If your knitting shows tighter tension, use thicker needles, for looser tension use thinner needle)
GAUGE : 24sts X 34rows = 10x10cm in St-st on 4mm ndls
SIZE GUIDE
The earl cardigan is a fitted short cardigan. This cardigan is designed to have approx. 6cm of positive ease. The sizes XS (S) M (L) XL are designed to fit a bust circumference of 75-80 (80-85) 85-90 (90-95) 95-100 cm.
If you want to wear enough, to knit one size up or to use thicker needles for adjust the gauge.
Description
It is worked top down. Begin to cast on left back. Continue to work slanting shoulder with GSR, and transfer sts to spare ndl. Work on right back in the same way. Join the two backs and continue until underarms. Transfer sts to spare ndl.
Then pick up sts on each shoulder for left and right front. Increase for neck and work GSR in the same manner as the back. Work left and right front until underarms, and join back and front on the same circular ndl.
Continue back and front with St-st until suitable length and end with ribbing.
Pick up sts at armhole edge for sleeves, work to shape the slope of the sleeve with GSR.
Work sleeves in St-st until suitable length and end with ribbing.
Work front placket in double knitting and work neckband in ribbing.
