Our dogs make sure I’m up before dawn every morning and one benefit of this is that I can admire the colors of the early light on the Gulf of Thailand. This design features colors that celebrate this time of the morning here.

The pattern incorporates traditional Fair Isle motifs worked in four colorways of pure Shetland wool. It is a cowl that has been designed tall enough to function as a head covering as well as a neck warmer.

The weight of the finished accessory is 131g. You will have yarn left over from most of the colorways:

Jamieson & Smith 2 PLY JUMPER WEIGHT 25g/118m/129yds, 100% Shetland Wool: 4 balls of #075 (Color A)
Jamieson’s SHETLAND SPINDRIFT (25g/105m/114.9yds, 100% pure Shetland wool): 1 ball of #153 Wild Violet (Color B); and 2 balls each of #567 Damask (Color C) and #1260 Raspberry (Color D)
