This is the first tam I’ve knitted. I claim it is the easiest tam to knit, simply perfect for beginners. It is also a good basis for more complex tams, simply add: colourwork, cables, lace… your imagination is the limit.

It is knit in the round from top to brim. Instructions are given to change the pattern to a different head size or for knitting with a gauge different from the recommended.
