This pattern is for a sweater/jumper scarf, which is a scarf with sleeves. These are very versatile garments, which can be worn in multiple ways - search ‘how to wear a sweater scarf’ on Google or YouTube.

Instructions are included to make this piece perfectly tailored to the body, which means it can fit any size. You may need more or less yarn for a tailored piece.

Sizes included:
Tailored - made to fit any body

Items required:

  • 4.5mm hook
  • 5.5mm hook
  • James C Brett, Driftwood DK yarn, in shade DW06, but you can make this piece in any yarn weight, using any crochet hook if you are making the tailored size.
  • Scissors
  • Darning needle

This piece is worked flat and the sleeves will need to be sewn up at the end.

US terminology used.

Gauge:
If you are making this piece in a tailored size, then this gauge can be ignored, as you will make sure it fits. If you are making one of the three sizes, then gauge is very important.

Using a 4.5mm hook:
10 stitches across is 52mm
10 rows down is 40mm

This has been measured by crocheting 12 stitches over 12 rows, and measuring the 10 stitches and rows within the centre, ignoring the border.
