Eastaboga
Eastaboga, a tiny little town in Alabama, situated somewhere between Birmingham and Atlanta…the name has nothing to do with the pattern… But Eastaboga rolls easily off the tongue and is fun to say. I’m hoping you will find this scarf just as much fun to knit and even better to wear!
It starts as a simple chevron using your favorite colors as a striping sequence, followed by short rows to straighten the out the inverted “v”. The middle section is a simple diamond brocade pattern created with knits and purls. The final third section of the scarf incorporates short rows again and a reverse chevron, creating a mirror image of the first part of the scarf. Consider using scraps from previous fingering weight projects or even a self striping yarn for many less ends to weave!
340 yards of main color plus various scraps of 5 more colors that add up to roughly 440 yards. Grand total: 770 yards
