This pattern tells you how to make these whimsical coasters using size 10 thread and a size 7 (1.65mm) crochet hook. A glass or a cup of coffee will sit comfortably on the rounded area of the lower face. The coaster is two-sided, with plastic canvas sandwiched between top and bottom for extra protection and strength.

Materials and Supplies Needed:

• Size 10 crochet cotton, or size 5 perle (pearl) cotton - White (about 150 yds), Small Amounts of Pink, Black
• 7 (1.5mm) Crochet Hook
• Needle with an eye large enough to accommodate size 10 crochet thread
• 3.25 x 4” (8.4cm x 10.2cm) piece of plastic canvas
• Pencil, paper, marker
• Scissors
• Fabric stiffener for ears (optional)
