Easter Bunny Cushion Cover
This cushion cover is worked using the Intarsia method to depict an Easter Bunny with his basket of eggs.
Worked in stocking stitch the cover requires 1 x 100 gm ball in the main colour and 1 x 50 gm in the dark brown. Small amounts of yarn are also required in white, taupe, lemon, yellow, blue, green and red. It is knitted in one piece starting with a small band of rib, stocking stitch for the main section, and finishing with another band of rib. A chart provides the instructions for the Intarsia work.
The face of the bunny, the outline of his body, and the side of the basket are enhanced with surface embroidery and a three colour plait is worked to create a bow for his neck.
To make up the side seams are joined together.
