Easter Eggs Wrap
This pretty yarn was designed for the 2018 Easter Box from TinkyDye. The colours were springlike, and just right for staying warm over Easter. Given the holey design with extra large eyelets, I called it Easter eggs.
The original sample uses 1 x 100g and 2 x 50g. It can equally be made in 2 x 100g, and would look just as pretty.
Exact Yardage MC 400m, CC1 180m, CC2 190m
HOWEVER if you find yourself running short at all, you can easily omit one of the later long rows to save yarn.
Gauge is not important.
Finished size after blocking 106 inches tip to tip, 19 inches deep in the centre, although you could block it longer if you wish. I recommend blocking to get a nice drape, but this wrap/shawl works well without blocking, so the choice is yours. (If you want to block the picot edge, you will need a LOT of pins but it is well worth it! I use regular pins for picots, which are very cheap)
This is a very simple pattern that look more complicated than it is. It’s also very easy to modify to use your own colours, eg miniskeins, or change the rows of holes for a different look. It’s perfectly suitable for novice knitters if you just follow the instructions to the letter, although I wouldn’t recommend it to complete beginners.
