Spring is all about green plants, flowers and fresh starts. The Easter Lily reminds us all of clean slates and new beginnings. The lightweight yarn and mesh backdrop helps the beauty of the flowers shine through! A perfect accessory for Easter and all through the summer!

I love crochet filet patterns. I think my brain likes the structure of the grid. I also like the images that we are able to create using positive and negative space. If you have never done filet work before, I recommend that you watch some videos. You will need to know how to use a filet chart.

You will need:

  • About 850yd of #2 cotton yarn. I used Cotton King Sultan Pastel.
  • 3.5mm hook.
  • stitch marker

Skill Level: Intermediate
Gauge: 8 squares wide and 10 rows in a 4”x4” square

My finished shawl is 75” across the top and 28” tall at the center point.
