Easter Pals: Duck with a Hat
This little Duck is a joy to make and a perfect companion to Easter Pals, all dressed up!
The pattern requires only a total of about 15 m (16 ½ yd) of material and the techniques are basic: magic ring, chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet, work in front/back loops, in addition to increases and decreases, as well as minimum embroidery skills.
Gauge is not important. However, the sample was worked with a 3.00 mm hook to match the sizes of Bunny, Mouse, and Fox all worked with 2.50 mm or 3.00 mm hooks.
(Duck is floating in the Multi-Purpose Stand available in the Easter Bunny Accessories e-Book).
The Duck pattern is versatile: it can be on a brooch or key chain, and makes a great Christmas ornament, too. Make it in a larger hook and it can go well on a baby mobile!
Enjoy!
