This pattern is very easy to knit and ideal for beginner knitters or anyone who wants to make a very quick project for a gift. All you need to know is how to knit and purl.

You will need to know how to cast on stitches, knit and purl confidently, read a row by row knitting pattern, bind off stitches and weave in ends.

RECOMMENDED YARNS:
DK weight , light worsted yarn
You can knit with any yarn you like : organic cotton, bamboo , silk , wool in DK weight / light worsted yarn.
Security 240– 440 yards (220 -275 m)
Stroller 755 – 770 yards (690 - 700 m)
Crib 1270 – 1300 yards (1160 – 1200 m)
Toddler 1850 - 2025 (1700 – 1850 m)
Please note, yarn amounts are approximate.

NEEDLES: US 7 (4.5 mm) 29” - 38” ( 80 cm – 100 cm) circular knitting needles or size to obtain gauge.

GAUGE : on #US 7 needles (4.5mm)
4” x 4” (10 x 10 cm) 19 sts x 30 rows
Gauge is not important as it is a blanket and it just amends the size a bit.
Other: tapestry needle, stitch markers.
