An easy pattern to make an 8 inch knitted square for afghans or blankets. Any type of yarn can be used just use the size needle you normally use for the yarn.
The pattern is knitted on the diagonal and uses a simple increase and decrease that is easy for beginners to use. Increase is KFB in first stitch of every row (Knit in Front and Back) Decrease is Knit 2 together at the end of every row.
I made this pattern after finding various patterns that were inaccurate and did not make an 8 inch square. I had no idea as to the yardage I used so too a guess sorry but guage is not needed and the yardage depends on the yarn you use.
