A lovely easy pattern for cosy mittens with thumbs.

This pattern is colour illustrated and ideal for beginner knitters - if you can knit and purl then you can make these mittens.

The pattern also has instructions for plain or stripe designs and embroidery decoration using chain stitch. My daughter started to learn to read after I sewed her initials onto her mits!

The mittens have stretchy cuffs which helps to keep them on little hands. The cuffs can also be pulled up over jacket sleeves for extra warmth.

This pattern comes in three sizes for babies to toddlers (0-6, 6-12 and 12-36 months).

They make an ideal project to use up a small amount of yarn or for a quick birthday or Christmas present.
