This easy to knit blanket is created using just knit and purl stitches, making a striking design that is ideal for beginner knitters or more experienced knitters looking for a quick project.

This blanket can be knitted in any shade but looks particularly good in soft grey (images use PaintBox Yarns Aran in Stormy Grey). The recommended worsted / aran weight yarn also makes this a relatively quick knit.

The elephant baby blanket can be knitted in any size from pram to king-size bed. The illustrated instructions include notes on how to easily add as many elephants as you like to the width or length.

For each additional elephant add the following amount of yarn: 55g / 2oz or 52m / 56yards

e.g if you add an additional row of 3 elephants you will need an additional 1 65g / 6oz or 156m / 1 68 yards of
yarn.
