Easy Breezy
A fun pattern for all levels of knitters, and designed with the newer knitter in mind. Easy Breezy makes a great first sweater!
The front and back are worked flat in a simple knit and purl pattern, with a garter stitch edging and yoke. The shoulder/sleeve seams are knit together using a three-needle bind-off. Detailed directions are included.
The optional knit flowers can be made in contrasting colors, or even different yarns, as many or few as desired. Illustrated directions are included.
As pictured, Easy Breezy was knit with Valley Yarns Longmeadow. The 60% cotton, 40% microfiber creates a comfortable, soft fabric with nice drape. The two smaller sizes call for 4 50 gram balls (117 yards) of each color; the two larger sizes call for 5 balls of each color for the sweater. Adding length to the garment may require additional yarn. Small amounts of other colors/yarns are needed for the flowers.
Finishing requires two side seams.
