This is an easy one-skein hat with a brim. My son loves camouflage clothing and when i found this “Deep Woods” color in Loops & Threads Charisma, I picked it up on impulse. He is tired of wearing the same old beanies I make for him, so I told him I would try to make a hat with a brim. A little trial and error later, I came up with this pattern and he LOVES it!

My son’s head is almost that of an average teenager, and is just shy of my own head (adult female). This hat is just a wee bit snug for me, but fits him perfectly. If you are making this for a younger person, it might fit a little loosely, but the stretch in this wool allows it to be worn by a wide range of age groups with ease.
