This pattern for an easy chunky beanie results in a comfortable, warm, cozy hat with a beautiful ribbed finish and an optional pom-pom. This project combines several beginner skills, including: crocheting in the round, single crochet, half-double crochet, increasing stitches, front & back posts, and double crochet. This pattern measures one size for average adult head circumference (finished diameter of beanie is 10 inches with a decent amount of stretch due to the use of half-double crochet stitches).
