Easy Crochet Socks
This easy, beginner pattern is free and comes in PDF form.
It is crocheted in 2 long pieces (top and bottom), shaped with my signature Graduated Stitch Method of making shaped and fitted garments and accessories, without having to use increases or decreases! The shaping is created by using different stitch heights on the same row. The socks hug your feet because the stitches are worked in the blo (back loop only), which causes the sock to mold around the foot. Working in the blo makes it look like a knitted stitch, but also makes the sock less dense than most crochet socks. In other words, it’s not as thick.
The pattern explains the method but for a more detailed explanation, see my book, Crochet That Fits.
Easy, beginner pattern. Instructions are given on how to delete or add rows if your sock turns out too loose or too tight due to your gauge being off.
You can also easily adapt this pattern for any size foot. Even for a baby!
For the smaller women’s and smaller men’s sizes you will need 2 - 50g skeins of fingering or sock yarn, but you’ll need 3 skeins for the larger sizes.
Stitch markers or safety pins and a yarn needle is needed.
