Easy Crocheted Angel Bonnet
The Easy Crochet Angel Bonnet is an original, and a fast and simple project for beginners. Experienced crocheters may be able to complete one in an hour or less. We’ve provided a tutorial below for those crafters who are just getting started or might need a little clarification.
In this pattern you’ll need to know how chain, single crochet, single crochet 2 stitches together (decrease) and slip stitch. The optional lacy brim requires a double crochet. Made in baby/sport weight yarn (#3) with an H/5.00mm hook, this pattern will fit approximately a 20 week angel. Due to the nature of crochet, the stitches don’t stretch very much. However, since a bonnet style hat is put on from the back of the head, stretch is not mandatory. Also, something to take into consideration, angel babies frequently need bonnet style hats to help hide imperfections in the head. Bonnets are a great option for these sweet babies.
Optional lacy edging included.
This is a free pattern, meant for charity use only. Finished items are not meant to be sold, traded, or used in fundraisers or auctions.
