Easy Entrelac Braided Scarf
Don’t be fearful of Entrelac. This scarf is oh-so easy! With 3 different yarns, get a braided effect with entrelac rectangles. A slightly different twist on Entrelac.
LEVEL OF EXPREIENCE: Intermediate
SIZE: Approximately 7” x 72”
YARN: 3 fingering weight yarns of different textures. Sample uses PACA PEDS by The Alpaca Yarn Company, 20% Alpaca, 65% Super- wash Wool, 15% Nylon (100g) = 400 yds ,
HALO WATERCOLORS by the Alpaca Yarn Company, 78% Brushed Suri Alpaca, 22% Nylon 0.88 oz (25g) = 257 yds, and
MARIQUITA by The Alpaca Yarn Company, 50% Baby Alpaca, 50% Tencel 3.5 oz (100g) = 400 yds.
You will need about 150-175 yds of each color to make the size above.
NEEDLES: US #7 or size appropriate to give a soft drape to scarf.
NOTIONS: Removable Marker, Tapestry Needle
GAUGE: Approximately 5 sts per inch, but gauge is not critical.
