Easy Entrelac Hat
The term Entrelac seems to bring fear and dread to some knitters, but it’s actually not a difficult technique. It only looks that way. The knitter starts with a triangle base, then proceeds to build rectangle and triangle blocks, one section at a time.
Knitting Entrelac in the round can pose a challenge, BUT my design knits the Entrelac portion flat. After seaming the edges together, you’ll pick up stitches with a circular needle to create the ribbed brim in the round. The top is made by gathering the edge.
I’ve included a full color photo tutorial on how to do Entrelac and I’ve carefully explained every step of the way. Also included are instructions for making a pom-pom.
As with all my designs, please Email me at the address listed on the pattern if you have any questions. I want you to have fun and end up with a spectacular hat that will impress everybody and make you proud.
