You start with 4 stitches at one corner, then by increasing one stitch at the beginning of every row you build a triangle--the more rows you work and the more stitches you increase, the bigger the triangle. Once you have reached the desired width, you begin decreasing one stitch at the beginning of every row until you have removed almost all the stitches. By working the increases and decereases with yarnovers … you create a lovely eyelet pattern along the sides…. To take your gauge, we recommend that you make a washcloth.
