Do crochet patterns intimidate you? Maybe your mom or grandma taught you to crochet and you just never took the time to learn to read patterns. They sometimes look as if they are written in another language with all those abbreviations and shorthand type writing.

This pattern will help change that. You won’t find funny looking abbreviations here – everything is spelled out for you. This is a very easy beginner pattern - only basic stitches – chains, single crochet and slip stitches - that’s it! Instructions for making the flower and heart appliqués shown on the gloves are also included (double and treble crochet stitches and joining rounds are used to make the appliqués).

Whether you are just learning the art of crochet and are tired of just making squares, or you do have a bit of experience but want to start learning to read patterns, this is for you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via the email address at the end of the pattern.

(If you are just learning or need a refresher, there are some links to video crochet tutorials at the end of this pattern.)

NOTES: Gloves take 2.5 - 3 ounces worsted weight yarn. Acrylic, cotton or wool blends all work well. Samples pictured were made with Bernat Glow in the Dark yarn.
