Easy First Beanie
Whip up one of these easy beanies in a few hours. The only stitches you need to know are chains and single crochets.
The beanie is designed for any yarn weight between DK (8ply) and bulky (12ply) - it’s up to you how fine or chunky you want to go.
The beanie is worked as a simple rectangle in rows of single crochet. To finish, the rectangle is then seamed into a tube and gathered at one end to form the beanie crown. Pop on a pompom (if you like) and you’re done.
The instructions are for a beanie to fit an adult woman but it’s easy to alter for other sizes/ages. There’s a chart showing measurements for two sizes (adult woman and small child) in three style options (fitted, slouchy, with and without a brim).
I hope you love making your easy first beanie.
ps I also have a sister pattern for a headband here https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/super-simple-hea...
