This pattern has been written so that it will help less experienced crocheters to make a top that fits well. Adjustments can be made as you go along.

Due to the adjustments that can be made whilst making this garment, sizing has been kept simple. Sizes have been given for UK sizes 10, 14, 18, and 22, (US 8, 12, 16, 20), but these are very adaptable to make the garment bigger or smaller as you go along and so the in between sizes should be easy to achieve. You just add or take off a few easy rows of crochet. All is explained in the pattern.

The patterned panel is made up of four rows. Once you have worked this pattern out, it will be easy to repeat and you will soon remember it.

More experienced crocheters can ignore my ramblings, where I explain what you are going to be doing next.

I see no reason why this cannot be made with any cotton double knit yarn and I think would also look nice with a variegated yarn for the middle panel, with one colour picked out for the edge.

The pattern includes both UK and US terms. The UK terms come first and then the whole pattern is repeated with US terms, so please be aware if you print off the pattern that you should only print the pages you want so as not to waste your paper and ink.
