This is very easy and quick tote bag pattern. With basic crochet knowledge, you can make a great looking tote in hours. It also works well – unlike round bags that don’t sit evenly, you can load this up and it sits up straight and holds its squared shape. Use a contrasting color for a piping-like pop on the edges, or use the same color for a simply beautiful bag!

Yarn: Any sturdy yarn works, but cotton is recommended like Sugar‘n Cream
2 colors - 400 yards base color, 60 yards accent color
Hook: 6 mm J hook

Gauge: Gauge is not too important as long as you retain the same tension throughout the entire project
