Easy Guernsey Mitts
You know how to knit and purl in the round ? You are ready for Guernsey knits !
Easy Guernsey Mitts are worked in the round and bottom-up in the traditional Guernsey style.
I designed these fingerless mitts to match my two other Guernsey patterns : Easy Guernsey Hat and my Easy Guernsey Cowl.
I chose Plassard Tweedee to knit them, because of its softness and well-defined texture.
It resulted in a pair of warm cozy fingerless mitts, light and easy to wash, with this unique casual look that tweed yarns are offering!
Any well-defined yarn that achieves gauge will do just as well, but I recommend that you choose a solid color, so that the textured pattern appears clearly.
Skills required are : cast on, knit and purl in the round, a simple increase technique, bind off.
Instructions are written, a chart is provided for the textured pattern.
I added a pic for the increase technique.
Easy Guernsey Mitts come in one adult size :
Circumference : 7 to 8 in. (18 to 20.5 cm).
Length : 7.8 in. (20 cm).
The elasticity of the pattern allows it to be worn by any woman hands, or any teen hands.
