Easy Knit Angel Bonnet
Bonnet will fit approximately a 20 week angel.
The bonnet works up very quickly, and is a good project for a beginning knitter. You’ll need to know: Long Tail Cast-On, knit, purl, k2tog, and p2tog and only requires 1 inch of seaming.
Note: the Long Tail Cast-On is necessary for the blue (stockinette) hat pictured, so the brim does not roll.
The pattern includes a garter stitch brim option (shown in purple), and can have either ribbon or crocheted ties. Done in worsted weight yarn (#4) and size eight needles, it will fit approximately a 20 week angel.
This pattern does not have a lot of stretch, but since it goes on from the back of the head, it’s not needed quite as much. Also, something to take into consideration, angel babies frequently need bonnet style hats to help hide imperfections in the head. Bonnets are a great option for these sweet babies.
This pattern is intended for charity purposes only.
