PLEASE READ NOTES CAREFULLY:
This is a pattern for a triangular shawl that’s created using an isosceles triangle, knit from the top down, ending at the bottom point. It is knit with sport weight yarn and incorporates three different brioche stitches which will show all your colors well.
It is all knit with 6 different multi-colored yarns. There are instructions contained within the pattern for how to change from one color to the next. There are also instructions for how to make tassels.
Any combination of 6 multi-colored yarns that appeal to you can be used, these easy lace stitches will show them all. The colors used in the sample are: Mineshaft, Buckingham Fountain, Pullman, The Bean, Joji’s Cathedral, Charcoal, but you can pick any colors that you like.
Skill Level: Beginner + (if you have some increase and decrease experience)
This “Fade” pattern includes how to use two different yarns: a light weight fingering yarn OR a sport weight yarn. So, essentially, there are two patterns in one, giving you the option of which yarn and which gauge you would prefer to use, giving you the maximum choice of what weight you would like your shawl to be. All instructions are given using both yarns, both of which come to us fromLorna’s Laces (Solemate and Sportmate) and was perfectly tested by Debi Maige, who can be reached at: locations@ verizon.net .
