My first pattern was for garter stitch fingerless mitts knit on two needles. This pattern is the next step! This is a fingerless (and thumbless) mitt that doesn’t require any increasing or decreasing! Make some functional mitts for yourself or gifts while you practice your knitting and maybe even get creative with color!

In this pattern you can practice…
-finding gauge
-knitting 2x2 ribbing
-joining/changing colors
-working in stockinette stitch
-working with yarn held double

…without too much commitment! These mitts can be as easy or complicated as you like! If you are a newer knitter, read through the tips included in the pattern. If you want to be adventurous with your color choices, check out the list of variations included in the pattern.

Sizes: XS (S, M, L)
Yarn required: approximately 38g(42g, 50g, 58g) total yarn. (You may be able to knit two pairs in the smaller sizes with just two skeins!)

Yarn used: (fingering weight) Pascuali Balayage in two different colors. Two strands are held together and knit as one.

Yarn substitutions: You may substitute any yarn you like that feels good against your skin! Either use 2 strands of fingering weight held together OR one strand of DK weight. Be sure to check your gauge, though!

Needles: US 4 straight, or shorter circular needles (mitts are knit flat)
