Easy Mock Entrelac Neck Warmer
Work this colorful and very easy neck warmer in no time at all with its simple color changes for a quick accessory to your winter wardrobe.
It really looks like entrelac knitting but it isn’t! It is really rows of color strategically knitted in a slanting mock ribbing that makes it look like you spent a great deal of time making all those little squares—but you didn’t have to!
It also works as a great stash-buster. It could be worked with any weight yarn in any size you want!
The bottom and top edges have a tendency to curl, which really adds a bit of ruffle to the edges! The cowl is knitted in the round on circular needles. The fabric tends to also pull in because of the “ribbing”.
Finished UNBLOCKED measurements are 11 ½” deep x 24” around.
Yarn: Sport weight. Main color—teal uses about 112 yards; contrasting colors--red and blue about 70 yards each for a total of 252 yards. Sample was knitted using Knitpicks Brava Sport yarn, in colors: Marina, Red, and Celestial; 100% Premium Acrylic; ball--273 yards/100 grams.
Needles and notions: 24” circular needle size U.S 6; yarn needle to weave in ends; and 1 stitch marker to mark beginning of row.
