Easy Peasy Fairy Wand
A simple pattern.made for my Granddaughter, so she could “turn me into a frog” :)
Size, of the star would be dependent upon the needles used. I used 3mm and that made the star around 2 inches across.
( If different needles are used, then I suggest that you may need to play around with the number of stitches needed for the body of the wand)
I used oddments of DK yarn , no particular colour is stated in the pattern, as I just went for pot luck and pulled out two differnet yarns from my scrap bag. Luckily it was a white yarn, followed by a purple one. I could have had some interesting combinations .
If making this for a child under 3 then I suggest just making a plain unadorned star small embellishments, and young children don’t mix that well. If the wand is made for an older child then --- go for it :) It’s here, I would also use a larger sized needle, and play around with the size of the star for the top of the wand.
This is a free pattern, feel free to make as many as you wish, but please, don’t claim this as your own, feedback would be welcome, though it’s not mandatory.
Much Love.
