This pattern is for a beanie-style hat that looks like a pumpkin. It’s available in two sizes, infant/toddler and child/adult. The sizes are versatile, as the fabric has some natural elasticity. If gauge is important to you, information on achieving gauge is provided. I used a size I (5.5 mm) hook when designing this pattern.

You will need two colors of yarn. For the stem of the pumpkin, you will need a small amount of green or another color. For the pumpkin’s body, you will need about half a skein of orange or another color.

You may find a stitch marker helpful, especially on the stem, to mark the beginnings of rounds.
