I have used this pattern since the mid 1970’s and have made many family members sweaters using it. I have updated it a bit. The original pattern used a smaller needle for the ribbing; however, I did not want to make the ribbed edges pull in so I used the same size needle as for the body.

The Crystal Carnival Kit from The Fibre Studio At Yarns To Dye For was used to make this project. It was caked up and ready to go. Each cake has five days worth of knitting and uses many yarns held together to represent a bulky weight.
